Cargo Management
The SCPL CFS is today primed to offer a Spectrum of Container Management and Movement Solutions. The service menu offers every requirement of Cargo Handling, Lashing, Choking, Distribution, Fumigation, Palletisation, Packing, Unpacking etc.
Expertise to facilitate the servicing of Factory-Stuffed Containers, Handling and Stuffing of all Export Cargo, Import FCL and LCL Handling, Cargo Hub Activity, Consolidation facility, Import Bonding facility, etc will also be available. An expert team exclusively focused on Managing Project Cargo will be on call too.
To exploit the potential of Handling Commodities such as Wooden Logs, Food grains, Stones and Imported Loose Scrap, the CFS has invested in Special Handling Equipments.
Proposed Automated Silos / Bunkers with Grading / Cleaning and Bagging Plants for Agricultural Products and a Proposed Cold Storage Facility are also on the anvil. A proposal to set up a Distribution Centre with Modular Racking System, WMS and GPS based monitoring is also under consideration.
The CFS proposes to offer a package deal on 'end-to-end' solutions incorporating all the needs of supply chain management to large-size manufacturing industries, including invoicing on behalf of clients and GPS-based monitoring of cargo movement.
Warehousing
This is a critical operational component of any CFS. Building and maintaining an on-site warehousing complex therefore took priority in the scheme of things at SCPL. The sprawling complex will initially offer a Warehousing Facility of 10,000 sq.m with another 10,000 sq.m being reserved for future expansion.
Both these warehouses have illumination levels that are at par with international standards. There are Well Paved Approach Roads, Spacious Aisles for cargo and equipment movement, Modular Racking System and most importantly they have been fitted with the Latest Security Equipment.
These warehouses will support the SCPL customer by enabling them to move cargo to multiple locations. It will offer 'in transit' Export or Import cargo services, Import Bonded Warehousing facilities, extensive LCL Consolidation and Special Storage for Precious cargo. Importantly, Warehouse Space Reservation for preferred customers will also be available.
To enhance operational efficiencies, the warehouses will have an advanced system of Computerized Inventory Control, Electronic Weigh Scales and also a Weigh Bridge with a 100 MT capacity.

The successful operation of a CFS is determined by the level of mechanization and automation that it deploys. The SCPL CFS has a Battery of High Tech and High Performance Equipment that will be used in the handling operations.
